The siren calls of our phones are so strong that even a quick check of today’s weather forecast can take valuable time out of your day, because of a news notification, a message from your friend, or worse, your instinctive opening of your favorite social media. One message or post can make the walk outside at the end of your day as stressed as the day you wanted to leave behind.
Not only is our attention hijacked by our phones that is continually asking for our attention. Our short and long-term memory is also degraded because no matter where we are, access to all this information is through that same little screen located 12 inches in front of our eyes.
By placing AWE tiles around the house, with the information you need when you need it, and nothing more, you can start or end your day more calmly, and more efficiently, and increase the chance you actually remember 15 minutes later.
Current options
The current data displayed include temperature, humidity, precipitation, precipitation probability, wind speed, visibility, and cloud cover. With options to show current, 24-hour forecasts, a 5-day forecast, and a combined overview for today and five days ahead. At the location of your choice.
In other words, a wide set of options to customize your display to your preference. You might put multiple displays together to ensure it includes all the locations you care about, and all the measures you are interested in. And in contrast to your phone or computer, you won’t run out of screen space, and you'll look at it when you, and not some algorithm, choose to.
