Your agenda or calendar is always on, and shared
Modern life relies on calendars. Many check their agenda soon after they wake up, and just before switching off. By displaying your agenda on AWE tiles you can avoid having to open your phone or computer at the start or end of the day, or during breakfast and dinner, because it is on a screen on the wall or a table. You can check it without interrupting the paper you are working, or the movie you are watching.
Secondly, with AWE tiles you can naturally share the agenda of your choice with your partner, kids or housemates you live with who can now see your upcoming plans. You can also create a dedicated calendar for the children, or one that only shows upcoming public holidays or birthdays. Or perhaps a dedicated shared family calendar displaying everyone’s social activities and commitments. To inform each other about what is coming, and plan for it together. An calendar that remains visible while everyone can put phones and computers away.
Functionality
Calendar can link to any Google or Outlook calendar. We found no need to reinvent the wheel nor to require users to maintain multiple calendars if you can link to your existing calendars. If you prefer to create a new calendar for events you like to share with your housemates, or upcoming birthdays and public holidays, possibly maintained by multiple people, you can do that within Google or Outlook as these applications provide all the functionality and integrations that are needed.
The current calendar lets you choose to display either the next upcoming event or the next 8 events.
