Based on popular requests, we have added the ability to rotate between different display options. This means you can, for example, alternate between photos and your calendar with every 20-minute refresh, or rotate between the weather, air quality, and stock prices. When you do a hard refresh, you will see the next category, but you can do so only once. This is done to limit data transfer during automatic refreshes and to maximize battery life.

We added a dedicated checklist option with a simple intuitive user interface for adding actions, sorting actions, and marking actions as complete.

We have added UV index to the list of weather related options. For any location you select, you can see current UV index, and the forecasted UV index for the next 24 hour and the next 5 days. Enjoy!

We have also revamped the ‘pictures’ functionality. The average picture quality should now be higher. The display quality used to be a little hit and miss, but now a much larger percentage of pictures look really appealing on your AWE tile, with higher brightness and more contrast. Of course, there are still exceptions, especially when the original has low contrast and is relatively dark.

Most of us are overwhelmed by daily bombardments from email, SMS, WhatsApp, Slack, social media, and endless other channels. Paradoxically often ignoring the messages that are most important to us.

The AWE app is, of course, not meant to increase phone use. AWE’s mission remains to move information away from your phone, and into your physical environment. To be there when and where you need it, without distractions, and we believe this new functionality will help you with that.
