Based on popular requests, we have added the ability to rotate between different display options. This means you can, for example, alternate between photos and your calendar with every 20-minute refresh, or rotate between the weather, air quality, and stock prices. When you do a hard refresh, you will see the next category, but you can do so only once. This is done to limit data transfer during automatic refreshes and to maximize battery life.

A word of caution. When you try this and find yourself often waiting for the next refresh or manually refreshing, we recommend that you to use a dedicated tile for that function. A single AWE tile that shows one or maybe two individual functions remains the most natural use case and is most effective in creating a calm environment that allows you to focus and not be distracted.

AWE aims to incorporate digital information placed across your physical environment, not to create another high interaction device with many functions cramped into it. The spatial display of information also supports memory. That is why we like the comparison with a clock or a paper calendar, that you check without even noticing because it is always there.
